
Community Colleges Sign Campus Compact for Student Veterans
January 31 (Annapolis, MD) - Maryland higher education leaders, including 12 community college presidents, pledged yesterday to work together to strengthen and expand services for students who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces by signing the Maryland Campus Compact for Student Veterans. ![]()
Lt. Governor Anthony Brown worked with veteran advocates and higher education leaders across the state to develop the compact, which calls on Maryland's public colleges and universities to improve campus services for student veterans in order to ease their transition to campus life and help ensure their educational success.
