

Community Colleges Meet with Maryland Congressional Delegation
Washington, DC (June 3, 2009) - At the invitation of Senator Barbara Mikulski, a delegation of community college trustees, presidents and staff met with the Maryland Congressional Delegation at the new visitors’ center at the U.S. Capitol. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss community college priorities for the 111th Congress and to update the Congressional Delegation on community college workforce training initiatives during these difficult economic times. The meeting was chaired by Senator Benjamin Cardin.
Testimony was presented by Dr. Stephen Pannill, President of Cecil College, Dr. Carolane Williams, President of Baltimore City Community College and Dr. Kate Hetherington, President of Howard Community College.
