Harford Community College, founded in 1957 as a public community college, occupies 332 acres on Thomas Run Road, three miles east of Bel Air in Harford County, Maryland. The College is a dynamic, open-access institution that provides high quality educational experiences for the community and promotes lifelong learning, workforce development, and social and cultural enrichment.
As a comprehensive community college, Harford Community College addresses the diverse educational needs of Harford County. The College challenges and supports students with high quality transfer and career programs, developmental education courses, student development services, and continuing education programs. College employees are accountable to students, the community, and each other, and embrace the values of lifelong learning, integrity, excellence, diversity, communication and collaboration, and service.
The Higher Education and Conference Center at HEAT partners with six major colleges and universities to offer Bachelor’s and Master’s level courses at its site off I-95 in Aberdeen.
