Overview
About one out of every 10 Frederick County residents over age 16 attends Frederick Community College (FCC). With a growing influx of new residents and businesses, FCC has expanded programs in medical assisting, biotechnology, nuclear medicine and continuing education.
Frederick Community College is in one of the high-growth suburbs of Washington, DC and has experienced consistent enrollment growth. To better meet the changing needs and demographics of the community, college officials have expanded their English as a Second Language program, offered courses at Ft. Detrick, expanded online course offerings, and revamped career areas such as the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Institute.
