Early College Access - Wor-Wic Community College

Student Profile: Mark Culver

By taking advantage of the dual enrollment program at Wor-Wic Community College, Mark Culver of Salisbury graduated with an associate degree in general studies before he received his high school diploma from Wicomico High School, also in Salisbury.

“I wanted to get a head start on my college education, and Wor-Wic was very accessible and very inexpensive to achieve this,” Culver said. “I was able to get the general education requirements for my later degrees completed so I could save money at the more expensive institutions.”

He is following in the footsteps of his older brother, Matt Adkins, who did the same thing at Wor-Wic in 2005.

Given his strong interest in human anatomy and medicine, Culver plans to transfer to Salisbury University to major in biology and mathematics.
